Welcome to AstroPaul.net. This is the launch of my new webpage. I’ve decided to start a web page so I can have a place to share my astrophotography and be able to talk about how I do it, why I do it, and what you are looking at.
For now I expect to post a few times a month, but I will also be adding other content (older pictures) periodically as well.
Just as a teaser, here is a picture from the 2024 Total Solar Eclipse in the US. This picture shows the “Diamond Ring” effect, resulting as the sun peaks just past the moons edge. Also visible are several prominences (the red “loops” along the edge). I’ll talk more about the eclipse in future posts.
